Retama Village is a brand new upscale 55+ adult community. It is oriented towards
the active adult RVer. Eighty-nine deeded RV super-sites and compact single-family homes make up Phase I of the gated and
walled community. Lush landscaping, a spectacular community center and pool complete the package. Restrictive covenants ensure
the quality of the Village: there are no park models, permanant RV's, skirted RV's, RV's with rooms built off them, or un-approved
"sheds".
Located within thousands of acres of wildlife habitat, and immediately adjacent to the Bentsen-Rio Grande Valley State
Park, the World Birding Center ( http://www.worldbirdingcenter.org/), and the North American Butterfly Association park, Retama Village offers nature lovers unlimited opportunities.
Weather in the "Valley" (which is what the Rio Grande valley is referred to) is about the same as Tampa, FL. Average
daytime temperature in January is a balmy 68 degrees. RV sites are a minimum of 80' x 40' with a 12'x20' Coach House.
There is concrete parking and patio space at each site, along with lush landscaping. All sites have free wireless internet
access and basic cable TV. Rentals of RV super-sites are offered by individual property owners. Select from the list

Rates are set by individual lot owners and can be found on the "Lot Pages", but in general are the same as Bentsen Palm
Village RV Resort, which is immediately adjacent to Retama Village.

Retama Village Lot Information
- There is a brand new clubhouse, opening in January 2008. The clubhouse has indoor and outdoor kitchens, a lap pool,
heated social pool and a fitness center. In addition, there are billiard tables and craft rooms.
- Bentsen Palms RV Resort is immediately next door. It has a large wood shop that is available for use by residents of Retama
Village. It also has a very nice dog agility course and dog run available for use.
- All sites have a clear view of the southern sky, so satellite reception is no problem.
- Verizon cell phone service is excellent. There is EVDO data coverage.
- No restrictions on RV washing. Please be conservative in your water usage.
- Free wifi throughout the park.
- Adjacent to Bentsen State Park and the World Birding Center. Miles of bike trails and walking trails directly accessed
from Retama Village.
- Convenient to all shopping, yet in an isolated, undeveloped area. Surrounded by thousands of acres of wildlife area. All
big-box stores are within a 10 mile drive.
- On all rentals you pay your own electric - by meter reading (unless different agreements are arranged with the lot owner).
Water and trash pickup are provided.
- Trash pickup is twice a week. Each lot has a large wheeled trash can.
- Laundry facility at the clubhouse, and at Bentsen Palm Village.
- Basic cable TV is provided.
- 55+ Adult community. One party must be older than 55. No children are permitted. Contact the lot owner for details on
visiting children.
